Using Ant within Gant

Gant uses the Groovy AntBuilder to access Ant tasks and run them. Builders are a key element of the Groovy language and require some effort to learn if you are coming from Java but once you've invested that effort you get to use a lot of Groovy in the same way, e.g. MarkupBuilder, SwingBuilder and so on.

The documentation for AntBuilder is on the Groovy site. It's probably worth looking at now.

Gant has AntBuilder bound into the environment of the tasks so you do not have to explicitly declare it.
